1. The service
SchoolTransit is a school-transport platform operated by PomNav: a web portal for schools and mobile apps for guardians, students, drivers, and staff. By creating an account or registering a school you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts and roles
- Schools register self-serve and control their own workspace: users, students, buses, routes, fees, and settings. School registrations may be subject to review before families can join.
- Guardians join with their school's code and manage only their own children. Privileged accounts (staff, drivers, admins) are created by the school.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Don't share accounts.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the service only for legitimate school-transport purposes. Do not attempt to access another school's or another family's data — isolation is enforced and attempts are logged.
- Do not misuse safety features: false emergency alerts, fraudulent boarding scans, or tampering with trip records may lead to suspension and referral to the school.
- Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or disrupt the service.
4. Safety — what the service is and isn't
SchoolTransit provides live information and verified records, but it is an aid — not a replacement — for the school's own duty of care. Location accuracy depends on the driver's device, GPS, and network coverage. The school remains responsible for its transport operations, its drivers, and its students.
5. Fees
The platform is free during the beta. Future pricing will be announced in advance, in EGP, and no school will be charged without agreeing to a plan. Transport fees invoiced through the platform are set by, collected by, and owed to the school — PomNav is not a party to those payments.
6. Data
The school controls its own records; guardians control their family data. Handling, retention, and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy and the Egypt PDPL page. On termination, a school may request an export and deletion of its data.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but the service is provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may update features and these terms; material changes are announced in the portal, and continued use after a change is acceptance.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, PomNav's liability is limited to the amounts the school paid for the service in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes fall to the competent courts of Cairo. Questions? Contact us — we reply within 24 hours.
